| Ichiro Harada - Profile |
Ichiro trained in Japan and the USA and gained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Boston Conservatory in 1994. He danced professionally with the Doris Humphrey Repertoire Dance Company, Ballet Long Island, Geurah Abraham Dance Ensemble and Lone Star Ballet, Texas. He established and directed his own company, Harada Dance Group, in Sydney before moving to New Zealand with his wife and family. Ichiro has taught extensively in Sydney and Tokyo and currently teaches at Howick College, as well as guest tutoring at Unitec and several dance schools in Auckland. His enthusiastic and encouraging approach, together with his wealth of knowledge and experience and keen eye for detail make him greatly in demand as a teacher of both Contemporary Dance and Classical Ballet.
